Major Cities Every Travelers Should See in Western Europe

Western Europe is dotted with cities worth a travellers time to visit due totheir size, history, and the unique opportunities they offer. However, there are cities that certainly rank above the rest, like Canterbury, London, Rome, Paris, Madrid, and Barcelona.

England’s there is London and Canterbury. Westminster Palace, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace, the official ancestral home of Englands royal family, are in London. And Canterbury offers much of the religious history of England as the home of the spiritual head of the Church of England and a variety of historic churches and ruins.Check out this link here.

Paris, France is every romantics dream steeped in history, religion and culture with sites like Notre Dame Cathedral and Chteau de Vincennes and much more. Rome in Italy is another religious treasure featuring the Vatican home to the Pope. It is home to ruins of the great Colosseum where the original Olympics were held, and the famous Sistine Chapel painted by Michelangelo.

Spain is home of two must-see cities, Madrid and Barcelona. Madrid is the capital of Spain and its largest city and is the third largest city in the European Union. Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain, and is a major tourist attraction and cultural-sports center.
