When visiting other countries, and areas of the world, one of your best methods of travel is to simply backpack. You keep everything you need in the backpack and are easily able to move from place to place, without the confinements of lugging suitcases all over the place. Some individuals may think your crazy, traveling with all your belongings in a backpack, but truthfully it is one of the best methods to see the world. You aren’t just exposed to the glitzy, well maintained areas, but you truly experience what the other countries have to offer. this doesn’t mean it needs to be dangerous though, and it is possible to backpack safely.

For starters, there are some general rules of thumb. Travel with groups, if at all possible. It is always nice to have a travel companion, as it makes the experience more memorable, and you are able to share your journey with someone else. Second, if you do decide to stay in a hostel, always lock up your belongings. Don’t trust your roommates, because anyone is capable of sneaking through your bag, stealing a pare of sunglasses or any other object. Keep a photocopy of your passport on hand, just in case you lose it, and don’t travel in dark alleyways at night time. It’s a good way to get jumped or robbed.

Now, to ensure you are always on top of your game while backpacking, you need to keep some special equipment on hand. For starters, always have safety pins within reach. These pins are a life saver should the zipper on your bags break (after all, you’ll be stuffing a considerable amount of items in the bag). The safety pins are a great way to rig up the backpack and prevent it from tearing, spilling out your equipment.

The Baltic States refers to Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia and Finland. These are the Baltic territories that gained their independence from the Russian Empire in the 1920′s at the end of World War I. The Baltic States are great places to visit due to their rich past and many historic landmarks.

Estonia is home to the beautiful Kadriorg Palace and park, which was the former home of the Russian Tsar, Peter the First. The palace now houses The Estonian Art’s Museum, which features artwork dating back to the 16th century.

There are multiple military heritage sites in Lithuania, the largest being Kaunas Fortress, which is a massive system of various forts that were originally built around the city of Kaunas during the 19th century when the Russian Empire rules the land. A museum and memorial are located here that visitors can come and visit.

The Baltic State of Latvia has many historic castles that visitors can tour, though most are in ruins. One such landmark is the Ruins of Bishop’s Castle, which was built by Bishop Albert in 1214. reconstructions of the castle continue to this day, though there are some fully-intact parts of the castle that are available to tour.

Western Europe is dotted with cities worth a travellers time to visit due totheir size, history, and the unique opportunities they offer. However, there are cities that certainly rank above the rest, like Canterbury, London, Rome, Paris, Madrid, and Barcelona.

England’s there is London and Canterbury. Westminster Palace, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace, the official ancestral home of Englands royal family, are in London. And Canterbury offers much of the religious history of England as the home of the spiritual head of the Church of England and a variety of historic churches and ruins.Check out this link here.

Paris, France is every romantics dream steeped in history, religion and culture with sites like Notre Dame Cathedral and Chteau de Vincennes and much more. Rome in Italy is another religious treasure featuring the Vatican home to the Pope. It is home to ruins of the great Colosseum where the original Olympics were held, and the famous Sistine Chapel painted by Michelangelo.

Spain is home of two must-see cities, Madrid and Barcelona. Madrid is the capital of Spain and its largest city and is the third largest city in the European Union. Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain, and is a major tourist attraction and cultural-sports center.

Taking an international flight can be very exciting and yet a little different from flying on a domestic one. There are many more steps involved before you get on the flight. You will want to make sure you have your passport and other important papers all in order. You will need to show them at the airport. Some people like to keep their passports in a little bag they can wear around their neck. It is an important little book and you will not want to lose it during your trip. The whole story can be found at http://www.travelpod.com/travel-blog-entries/nickycooil/1/1309883723/tpod.html After all, you need to get back home. International flights often leave late in the afternoon because the flight is long and time changes are sometimes involved. You may be using a carrier based in the Country that you are flying to and that can be very exciting because you almost feel like you are arrived in the foreign Country from the minute you step on the plane.

Don’t forget to arrive a little earlier at the airport if you are going to fly internationally. At some point you will have to go through customs and the process is usually very simple. Flying internationally can be fun and don’t forget to bring the kids along because this will be one of the greatest adventures.

Many people love traveling overseas. The purposes of the visit could be a holiday, adventure, business, studies or even to visit family and friends. Travel is fun as it opens up doors to new and exciting cultures, ideas, people and plenty of new sights and sounds.

When traveling overseas, some countries need to vet and assess visitors to their country. For these purposes, they make provisions for visas to be issued to people traveling to the particular country. A visa is an endorsement that is placed on a passport. This helps explain it more. The main purpose of a visa is to provide its recipient with permission to enter a particular for a particular period of time. Most countries need any foreign national to hold a valid visa if they wish to enter and remain in that country.

Some nations allow nationals of certain select countries to enter their territory without a visa provided the visit is within a certain period of time and purposes are visit only. However, for stays exceeding a certain period, usually 3 months, then the visitor will in most cases be required to apply for a visa.

Visas are usually provided with certain conditions and provisions. For example, holders of certain visas may not work in the country they are visiting.
